Arpana Mathur, MD, MBA

In her role as Executive Medical Director, Arpana Mathur works closely with leadership to ensure clinical quality and effectiveness of the clinical offerings and products. She is focused on using data to drive quality behaviors, optimize health care processes, and create measurable efficiencies to improve patient and population health. Mathur is also involved in supporting the clinical strategic initiatives and is the internal subject matter expert for various therapy classes and conditions. She has held key positions with Pharmacy Quality Alliance on key committees to develop new and strategic quality measures for pharmacies and payors.

Prior to joining CVS Health in 2017, Mathur was a family physician in various practice settings including a residency program, federally qualified health center, and multi-specialty group practice. She has held leadership roles for an accountable care organization in the greater Chicago area, implemented a high reliability program for patient safety and an RL6 reporting system implementation for safety events, and was a medical director for a system-wide diabetes program (ambulatory and inpatient care).
